MVP beta terms

Terms for using Chroncast during the beta.

These Terms of Service govern access to the Chroncast MVP beta. By creating an account or using Chroncast, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Beta service

Chroncast generates a private daily audio briefing from your selected interests, trusted sources, preferences, and feedback. The beta may change, pause, or end while the product is being tested. Features, delivery channels, generated content quality, and availability are not guaranteed.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping access to your account secure. You may delete your account from the mobile app. Account deletion removes the MVP data described in the Privacy Policy.

Your preferences and sources

You may provide topics, prompts, RSS feeds, site URLs, delivery settings, feedback, and other preferences. You confirm that you have the right to provide those inputs and that they do not violate another person's rights or any applicable law.

Generated episodes

Chroncast uses automated systems and third-party providers to draft scripts and render speech. Generated episodes may contain mistakes, outdated information, or incomplete summaries. Do not rely on Chroncast as professional, medical, legal, financial, emergency, or safety-critical advice.

Acceptable use

You may not use Chroncast to violate laws, infringe rights, harm others, bypass security, reverse engineer the service, overload infrastructure, or generate abusive, deceptive, illegal, or otherwise harmful content.

Third-party services

Chroncast may rely on providers such as OpenAI for script and voice generation and Open-Meteo for optional local weather snippets. Third-party services may process data as described in the Privacy Policy, and their availability can affect Chroncast features.

Ownership

Chroncast and its software, branding, interfaces, and service design remain the property of Chroncast or its licensors. You keep any rights you already have in the source URLs, preferences, feedback, or other material you provide.

Paid subscriptions and trials

Chroncast may require a paid subscription to create, access, and play daily personalized casts after onboarding. Current launch pricing is $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, unless a different price, tax, promotional offer, or app-store price is shown before purchase. Subscription purchases may include a 7-day free trial when you are eligible. Trials convert to paid auto-renewing subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.

Billing providers

Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are billed by Apple through App Store in-app purchase. Subscriptions purchased in the Android app are billed by Google Play. Subscriptions purchased outside mobile app stores may be billed by Stripe. Your billing provider controls the accepted payment methods, receipts, taxes, renewal processing, refund handling, and subscription-management tools for that purchase.

Cancellation, billing updates, and refunds

You can manage, update, or cancel your subscription from Chroncast settings. The app will open the applicable App Store, Google Play, or Stripe subscription-management page. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges. Unless your billing provider or applicable law says otherwise, paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refund requests for App Store purchases must be handled by Apple, Google Play purchases by Google, and Stripe purchases through Chroncast support.

Disclaimers and limits

The beta is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chroncast disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or service interruption.

Changes

Chroncast may update these terms as the beta evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
